This course is offered three to four times per year in both a twelve-week and condensed one-week format. Chris Lowe (Downtown courses) has been an instructor of this course since 1997. Tahira Endean (Burnaby courses) has been an instructor of this course since 1999. (3 Credits)

Term projects

Each term the class breaks into groups and creates an event plan for an actual event taking place in the Greater Vancouver Area. The “client” will attend two classes. One in week three or four to provide information to the class on the event goals and all information that is deemed necessary to complete the project. The second in week four or five when they will return for a Q/A session to answer any further questions. Between week five and eleven the client will answer any further questions by e-mail and the answers will be posted on our web site. In week eleven, the projects will be handed in. One copy for the instructor and one copy for the “client”. (For the weeklong class, the presentation and Q&A is in the same week and the project is due five weeks later)
